This clinic is for intermediate and advanced jumpers. Jumpers will be assessed by Tamea Denault on the first day of the clinic, then divided into groups according to skill level. There will be two jumping classes a day on horseback, as well as numerous workshops covering how to lay out a course, plan your strategy, and rate your horse over fences. There will also be workshops in identifying the different kinds of jumps in both cross-country and stadium courses, emergency dismounts, and proper equipment for horse and rider. Several videos will be shown throughout the clinic. The jumps will range from two to four feet in height, and classes will take place in both an indoor and an outdoor arena, as well as on a novice cross-country course.
This clinic is taught by Tamea Denault, a CHA-certified instructor who coached competitive stadium jumping on the East Coast.
Cost for this five-day clinic is $450.00 USD. Jumpers may bring their own horses or use one of the schooling horses. If a jumper brings his own horse, there is no charge for using a stall during the clinic provided you bring your own food. If you wish the staff at Dreamswept Farm to feed your horse, the cost will be $50.00 USD per week.
