Senior Software Developer / Development Lead Getty Images (NYSE:GYI) (May 1998 - Present)
Accomplishments
  • Development Lead: Automated Build Process. Designed and developed fully-automated integrated build system using Nant and CruiseControl.Net. System supports "one-button" build of a complex application platform spanning more than 20 MS.Net/COM applications and components.
  • Development Lead: User Registration Redesign. Led team of three developers in the design and development of user-profile-related features including profile update notification, login security and user activity tracking.
  • Development Lead: User Services Team. Led teams of 3-4 developers in the design and implementation of features including the addition of new image collections, previous purchase search and image price calculator enhancements.
  • Development Lead: Multi-file Download Wizard. Designed and developed core image download component for creative.gettyimages.com and editorial.gettyimages.com, sites that receive thousands of daily visitors and generate millions of dollars in revenue. Wizard supports single file or one-time, multiple-file download (one zip file) of purchased digital assets.
  • Co-Designer and Developer: Digital Asset Production Workflow Application. Co-designed and developed asp.net intranet application for the management of digital asset production (DAP) workflow. Features included multiple-profile security model, record check-in/check-out functionality and XML data import/export.
  • Designer and Developer: XML/XSL Content Management System. Designed and developed content management system allowing for dynamic update of the marketing-related sections of creative.gettyimages.com and corporate.gettyimages.com.
  • Designer and Developer: User Services Framework. Designed and developed user services framework supporting shared membership across three high volume e-commerce web sites. The framework featured a single interface to three legacy data sources: LDAP, SQL and Great Plains.
  • Sole Designer and Developer: tonystoneimages.com. Designed and developed fully localized, e-commerce web application for Tony Stone Images. Original code base in use for four years (1998-2002). Revenue average > $70K/day.
    • Design/implementation: SQL commerce database, LDAP membership database, credit-card/terms enabled purchase path and asset download functionality.
    • Created secondary web-based Customer Service Application to add/edit user profile data and view summary sales reports.
Senior Programmer/ Analyst Sitewerks, Inc. (May 1996 - April 1998)
Accomplishments
  • Development Lead: Sitewerks' HRwerks. Designed and developed a self-contained, web-based Human Resources intranet application featured on Microsoft's TechNet.
  • Created dynamically-generated Trip Book Store and corresponding web-based, database administration tool for Corbis.
  • Designed and developed web-based publishing system for The Microsoft Network, (MSN) Newsroom. Via a web-based interface, content data stored in a SQL database was combined with an HTML template to produce actual HTML files for posting to the live web server.
  • Technical Lead for the design and development of a Customizable Starter Site for Microsoft Site Server 3.0.
  • Sole manager, designer and developer of web-based, event publishing system for the MountainZone.com.
  • Created, designed, and developed web-based, content publishing tool for Microsoft's Industry Web site. Tool capable of publishing 60% of the content on this 6,000 page Web site.

Accomplishments
  • Developed and implemented Internet Marketing Strategy: Made the WWW the company's primary marketing vehicle.
  • Developed product feature set For BugBase 2.0, a defect tracking application: Evaluated factors such as customer functional requirements and the competition's offerings.
