Welcome to our personal and at times strange collection of places on the web for enlightenment or entertainment!  There are a couple of "psychological" sites, but in all honesty we have yet to find many that are very interesting.  Most are promoting either a fad, a guru or a "support group".  The rest are just too arcane for the general public.  Besides, aren't the really good link pages the ones that take us someplace we didn't have a clue we wanted to go?
Just for fun...
How about free stuff?
1 2 3 ALL THINGS FREE! -- Freebies, coupons, rebates and other free stuff.  Many points of departure, but beware!  Some of their "freebies" are just promotions they're paid to list.
The FreeSite.com  -- Another freebee site, and one of the oldest on the web.  Caution!  Be sure to close the "WebCavern" popup window that opens when you arrive.  It is setup to look like the freebee site but it's all ads.
No talk of freebies would be worthwhile without NoNags!  They are the most respected source for freeware and "no Nag" or otherwise limited software.  Each program is tested and rated on the ducky scale!  Huge selection, too.
WholeWare Multimedia -- Go here to get their "Freecard" software.  Everyone has gotten an online greeting card, or more precisely everyone has gotten an announcement about where they can go to look at their greeting card!  With Freecard you assemble a web greeting card on your computer using your own pictures, graphics, sounds and text, like making something with Lego blocks.  Then you can e-mail the card to whomever you wish and they can download and keep it!  Free, of course...
Heard about Crayon?  It's not about coloring, but rather an acronym for "Create Your Own Newspaper".  If you are a real "info-junkie" then you have to check it out.  It allows you to setup the ultimate in personal news pages, choosing from hundreds of source options.
Mind tickling...
Star Gazer Home Page --  If you are a "PBS Person" then you probably have seen Jack Horkheimer!  He's the weird guy with the bad toupee who none-the-less does really interesting 5 minute spots on "poor person" astronomy--things in the night sky that can be seen with nothing more than the naked eye or cheap binoculars.  The info is cool, even when the Northwest skies don't always cooperate.
Ever heard of Steven Wright?  He's the comedian who delivers the profound jokes with the absolutely straight face.  Like the one where he says "I have a big map of the world outside my house.  The scale is one to one".
Project Censored is one of those sites more people should know about!  Every year they issue a report on the most under-covered but important news stories of that year.  This is not a "conspiracy" group.  The project is conducted by Sonoma State University of California and the "ignored" stories come from mainstream journalism.
How about some space archeology?  The Satellite and Remote Sensing Archeology site delivers just that!  It is a collection point for a number of archeology projects that are using satellite imaging to find or define ancient sites.  Usually has some neat pictures on hand!
While we are on the subject of space, how would you like to participate in the SETI Project using your home computer?  SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is seeking thousands of interested computer users to process parts of the data being amassed in their radio telescope sweep.  It all occurs when you are not using your machine and with no oversight.  Who knows, first contact could be detected on your desk!
Some things psychological...
Carl Jung has had a huge influence on how we work with our clients, although we don't do traditional Jungian analysis.  The C. G. Jung Web Page has a lot on him and the psychology he created.
You can't be a fan of Jung's without developing a strong interest and respect for dreams!  Although there are a lot of really bogus notions about dreams and interpretation, the Electric Dreams site is very broad in its scope and a rich source of reference materials.
At the heart of a Jungian perspective on psychotherapy are the notions of integration and transformation, 25 cent words to be sure!  Jung believed that the basic areas where we rub against these inner dynamics are in our common heritages of myth and symbolic experiences (like dreams, the Arts and religion).  As Jung put it, finding your "true Self" means finding your personal mythology.  Today most people think of a mythology as an "untrue story" rather than the symbolic relationship between our inner world and the outer one, as our ancestors understood it.

If you want to explore these ideas here are a couple of places you can make a start.  A good place to begin with mythology is at Mythica, a kind of encyclopedia.  A site devoted to articles about the many faces of transformation is called Common Ground (their achieve and links are really the useful parts).  Jung thought of the movies and contemporary art as the expression of society's current mythology.  Here are a couple of really good contemporary art sites to begin with:  SITO and MythagoBoth have a lot of varied material and mediums as well as many links.  There are many, many quality art sites on the web--just do a search.  As to the movies, I think we'll leave that alone... ;-)
Some things domestic...
Be sure to check out the links on Kathy's garden page!
Kathy has become really adept at tracking down good recipes on the web!  Flora's Hideout and Diana's Kitchen are two favorites.  Another site with recipes is MakeStuff.com, which also has a huge variety of craft and project pages.
Some Techie stuff...(Scott)
I will limit these to credits for web graphics and themes.  If there are requests for some of my computer links then I will expand this section with some of the best or create an off-site page.  Let me know...
The FrontPage theme used for these pages is called "Emerald" and came from KEP FrontPage Themes.  Good workmanship and reasonable prices.
Several button graphics came from this site.  I highly recommend it to anyone building pages, as she has some of the loveliest and highest quality web graphics I have seen.  You should see it if for no other reason than the ideas you'll pick up!
If you experience any broken links please e-mail me so I can fix them.  Thanks!
