          .. maybe quite a bit before ... as probably at least 22 when married in 1712.
We do not have a record of his immigration (from England ?)
As married in 1712, he was prob. in New York by 1710 or 1711  but maybe much before.
Immigration records may be found but records need to be searched under several
POSSIBLE names.

First name:       Known as JEEMS in most records ... (Jem = James..could this be James'..
                       .thus son of James????)
                        Also known as JACOBUS ... prob.  Latin for the Dutch Jacob (James).
                        However I haven't seen him listed as "James".
Last name        (surname)   Usually listed as ROBBERTSZ   Also listed as ROBBERSON
These are prob.  Robbert's son i.e. Robertson    SZ = SS in German don't know about Dutch
