Hi, I am Pmatt, this is my vanity page. Please note that the P in my name is silent. If you want to mail me, I am matt at mattfreedman dot net.
My new photography site is now online -- www.silentcolor.com. That just has the very very best of my photos. There is a broader selection still available at my old  ImageEvent site.
Saturnia, the Monkfish Goddess, Queen of Black Rock City is an art car that I built for Burning Man 2002 and 2003.
Europe Pictures

Recent travel includes Scotland and Spain in 2004, Italy, Greece, and Switzerland in 2003, and Baltics to Balkans in 2002 (Norway, Latvia, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, Croatia, and Portugal).

My first movie is online. It is a hard hitting documentary about the dog-eat-peanut-butter world of Greenlake, Seattle. (RealMedia, 2.6 Meg, 4.5 minutes)

I studied percussion and salsa dance in Cuba for two months in the spring of 2001. A pictorial travelogue of my trip is available. I also have collected the best Cuba travel links.

By popular demand, the pictorial travelogue of my 1992 trip to Guatemala has finally been put back on the web.
Tiny Giants Decal
I used to play percussion for a band called Tiny Giants, but I am spending a lot more time dancing than drumming these days.
I am a software engineer, working on the University of Washington's Student Learning Objectives project, but my greatest claim to fame is Willow, the Washington Information Looker-upper Layered Over Windows. However this system is now retired.

My first Java project was NINA, the Java applet that you should see running here.

I am also the proud host of the funniest audio file in the history of western civilization.
