SCHEDULING SUPPORT FORM DESCRIPTION

The following items are available when the Scheduling program is operational. This program was written in 1984 in QuickBasic for a specific printer. The program can be updated to a Windows 95 format (VisualBasic 5.0) if there is enough interest.

LEAGUE WORK SHEET

The league work sheet provides a means to catalog teams by performance and to form new leagues. The team information provided on a league entry form should be entered with the strongest team of the previous season first, followed by the weaker teams listed strongest to weakest. New teams should be listed last.

FIELD USAGE FORM

The field usage form provides a means to list team placement on an individual field as they are assigned. The first step is to enter the team number, name and league codes of all teams that have been scheduled in higher leagues. The league codes should be entered as follows:

After the higher level teams have been entered, start entering the oldest teams on the fields from the league work sheets. Spread the games over the starting time periods so that the referee distribution will be fairly equal during the day.

When a team is placed that must be paired with another team, note the required team number and the pair team name on the work sheet of the paired team. Note the fields that have high usage and work them first since they will dictate most of the team number considerations.

AGE GROUP PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE

The age group preliminary schedule provides a means to indicate to the coaches where they have been placed in the leagues, This form should be distributed to all coaches approximately 2 weeks prior to the planned distribution of the schedules. Feed back from this distribution should greatly reduce the need to revise schedules after they have been issued.

LEAGUE REVISION RECORD

The league revision record provides a record of league revision.

FIELD UTILIZATION CHART

The field utilization charts show the scheduler where teams are located and what field times and pairs are available.

REFEREE SHEET

The referee sheets provide an aid to the referee coordinator for assigning referees. The entire season schedule for games on a specific field is provided on one sheet.

SCOREKEEPER SHEET

The scorekeeper sheets (double entry) provide the league scorekeeper with a convenient form to enter game results.

COACH SHEET

The coach sheets provide an individual coach with a list of their games during the season.
