If I Believed in Prayer...
If I believed in prayer, I think I'd be
lighting candles,
grasping a rosary,
searching the corners of my mind for every word I ever memorized
as a good little Catholic girl-
I'd cross myself and hang my head,
I'd lift my eyes skyward,
pleading to an unseen God,
begging for a miracle,
seeking for an end to all this madness.
