Raining again today. Am I in Seattle or did Seattle come here?

I called Battoya, but the person on the other end said that she was already coming. And in a few minutes I saw her walking to the hotel.

Her brother drove and she had brought a friend of hers along. We drove to the marketplace and bought Tracy's dehl. I liked it and Battoya liked it too. Then we bought a buus (sash-like belt). It didn't take very long. She asked if there was anything else I wanted to do, but I had nothing else. I gave her the books she wanted. She says she may actually be in Montana next month and stay for as long, so I gave her our phone number. Then she gave Tracy and I gifts - another dehl for Tracy and a pamphlet on how to write in Mongol script. I'll probably see her again before I leave.

I talked with the kitchen ladies and they told me to go buy the materials and then they could make my dehl. I went to the department store and found some dark blue corduroy material and some black material. I bought 10 meters of the corduroy and 1 meter of the black.

When I returned the woman who would actually make it was there. I don't think they thought much of the material, but I don't want a fancy dehl. I have two already. At four o'clock she will return with some tape to measure me.

Well, they measured me and I'll have ten button knots! Good. Beebee had asked if I wanted to go to Terelj camp this week. I think I might go, just so ungodly boring here in town. Of course, once Naadam begins that will all change and we will return on the first day of Naadam.

Beebee decided he didn't want to go to Terelj, so I'm not going either then. But, that's okay, because the tourist group that came in is full of nice people. I was jamming with a guy that plays good guitar till about midnight. An Australian named Loren was playing an aborigine instrument the name of which I've forgotten. Beebee let me borrow his harmonica for the remainder of my stay here.
