Bogd Uul is a hilly, almost mountainous, region just south of Ulaanbaatar. It is a protected park, complete with wardens who patrol their respective regions. It was deemed a park around the 15th or 16th century by a khan who's name I do not know. All the flora and fauna are protected within the confines of this park. Bogd Uul means 'saint or holy mountains'.
