Lanarte is a company in the Netherlands that produces some of the most beautiful counted cross stitch designs in the world. The vast majority of Lanarte designs are available as kit only.If you dislike kits based on buying inexpensive, mass-market American kits, you should know that Lanarte kits use only the highest quality fabric (in most cases to be stitched "over two") and highest quality threads (DMC floss) and contain clear, legible graphs. A very limited number of Lanarte designs have been licensed to various American companies to sell in "chart-only" form, and these tend to be of older designs.
We stock a large number of Lanarte designs. We are happy to special-order any Lanarte kit that we do not have in stock. We typically order from Lanarte in Holland every 4-6 weeks; with additional time needed to allow for shipping, so the time frame needed to accommodate special orders will vary.
Prices for Lanarte kits are subject to change depending on the strength of the dollar at the time of the shipment. If we have the kit in stock, we can give you an exact price. If it is not in stock, we can give only an approximate price. Recently the dollar has gone down in value to near record lows and we have seen the cost of Lanarte kits go up considerably as a result. When inquiring about a kit, please try to give us both a kit number and a name or description, so that we can properly identify it.
We require a valid credit card number (either VISA or Mastercard) in order to place a special-order with Lanarte for a kit. A special-order may not be cancelled once our order has been placed with Lanarte.
