Deborah Stanfill credits her love of the healing arts to a study and practice of Eastern and Western mysticism. Health is the outcome of ten thousand right decisions….all leading to an awakening of one’s true nature and a compassionate search for wholeness. She has studied acupuncture and oriental medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico and at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, Washington where she received her MS in acupuncture (M.Ac.). She has been licensed by the State of Washington (L.Ac.) since 1995 and maintains diplomate status with the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Dipl.Ac.) She studied harmonic medicine with the founders of Acutonics®, Donna Carey and Marjorie de Muynck. She continues to study and practice a variety of qigong forms, external qi healing and Taiji Quan. She has worked with Michael Harner method shamanic practitioners, Scott Church and Lenore Norrgard.
Deborah established a private practice in Seattle in 1995. She has served as a clinic supervisor at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and worked as a diagnostician acupuncturist in a chronic low back pain research study conducted by Group Health Cooperative and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has also worked with chemical dependency clients at both the Seattle Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and at Stonewall Counseling Services in Seattle.
