The Deep Stuff - Post Thanksgiving Day Guerrilla Shopping .

Thanksgiving was great. My Brother and I went over to my Mom's house for dinner. I love the fact that we don't do the psycho cook for hours stuff ourselves fight with relatives we only see on holidays like this then pass out kind of thanksgiving. We did a roast with mac & cheese, veggies rolls and pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Well I guess we did do the stuff ourselves part but it was good and low maintenance. The next part of our family tradition is to park ourselves in the living room in our assigned seating and watch movies. We watched Meet Joe Black. Cute movie and recommend it (even though it is a chick flick).

Before dinner the other tradition we have is to go through the paper and scope out the after Thanksgiving day sales in the flyers. Yes I am Xmas psycho. I got up at 5:30am to get ready to go shopping and hit the specials and get the freebies. I managed to get everything I went after and now my shopping is about 85% done for Christmas and I have already got some of them wrapped. Man, I would hate to be one of the people that were in the Toys R' Us early bird lines.  I drove by and they were so packed and wrapped around the building already.  It is very entertaining the people you get to meet and instant shopping  buddy bonds you can make while doing the guerrilla shopping marathon.  Last year I met several gals that had the same route planned out that I did.  I kept running in to them and we would just laugh and compare stories.  That happened this year too.  Waiting in line for close to an hour with nothing else to do and having a common goal can create a very interesting bond.  You find that when you get the opportunity for this bond you really want to work with these people to help make it a better experience for all you.  Anyway, I digress, but wanted to share that with you.  I seem to see that every year now and find it part of the fun of the whole "after Thanksgiving day shopping" sprees.

Got in to work to finish some stuff up and managed to get that done and today's entry in and it isn't even noon yet. Got to love the power of coffee!

Going to go have some leftovers and pig out again. After that it is a quick trip to the store to get a few baking supplies and then back up to the housesitting/doggie sitting gig and time to bake! LET THE HOLIDAY BAKING BEGIN!!! So much for the whole diet thing I need to do after the Paris trip. Oh well.

I promise to get back to the old format soon.  I just haven't had time for the other format.

Till next time.
