The Deep Stuff - Paris stole my heart and my sleep.
Alright I know I haven't updated in a long time. I did Friday's but forgot to post it like a scatter brain.
Well here it the scoop... Paris Rocked!!! I completely enjoyed my week there. I will be working on the Paris Chronicles this week and will insert them in the absent days of the Journal.
I got back late this weekend and was so completely wiped out. Too much partying, food, walking and not nearly enough sleep. Nothing like being on 9 hours time difference, wired for sound, afraid to sleep as I didn't want to miss anything, physically exhausted and non-stop mental stimulation to create a completely surreal Paris Experience.
Luckily my Mom came in from her trip about a 1/2 hour before I got in so we rode home together. I was still out of it and slightly buzzed so I crashed at her place. Besides, she has her cable working. I missed TV. There is something really freaky about the show In The Heat of The Night in French. Bubba doesn't do well in French.
Saturday morning she made me go through all the pictures with her. Now at this point you have to realize that I took over 300 pictures. Yes I went a little crazy with the camera, but it was PARIS!! I am glad I did too because a lot of them did not come out. She fed me and humored me while we looked at the pictures this morning. Still really out of it so I am sure the stories just didn't have the same impact I was looking forward.
Ran errands and went through all the stuff I brought back for people. A very strange collage of memorabilia from Paris. Chocolate bars, aperitif, Grand Marnier, Eiffel Tower key chains, brandy, Paris Hard Rock stuff, soap, perfume, stuffed Eiffel Tower and last but not least museum magnets and books.
All of this stuff is such a bad indication what Paris was really like. So beautiful! The architecture, sense of history, detailed embellishment, religious sense, fashion, food, etc. just can't be compared to anything in the USA.
Well stay tuned for the Paris Chronicles and Pictures.
Till next time.
