The Deep Stuff - 'Cause I'm leaving on a Jet Plane...
Why is it when you are trying to go away for a week everything that can go wrong does and everyone else's emergencies suddenly become yours? Well at least I got everything at work for the most part situated. In fact I probably wont be missed, but if you say you are going to be gone they freak. Nothing like having to make a Fed Ex run very last minute of the day when you still haven't finished packing.
The organization of the household, however, is another story. My house is a disaster zone just waiting to be condemned. On top of that? They accidentally disconnected my cable on Wednesday and they were supposed to come back out and fix it and they say they did but still nothing. ARRRGGGHHH... I am beginning to realize just how much of a TV junkie I really am. I now have to schedule an appointment for them to come out and fix it when I get back from Paris.
Freaky event for the week... My Father who disappears out of my life for years at a time happened to pop by my old house yesterday. You have to understand the last time I saw him was the last time he popped by for five minutes 3 years ago. Needless to say he had no idea about my divorce and when my Ex's girlfriend answered the door and then made my Ex explain to him what was going on he freaked out a little and bolted. I felt really bad for "M" (my Ex's girlfriend) having to experience that but luckily she has a good sense of humor.
So now what? Race around running errands and finishing last minute packing. I'll let you know how gay Paris was!!
