The Deep Stuff - Halloween... I got tricked... but I walk away with the candy.

So Halloween was extremely week and lame this year. Most of this was my own doing. Halloween being on a Sunday was another big part of it. It just isn't the same when it falls on a Sunday. Sunday's are my day. I don't like giving them up for something that I am not in to. Don't get me wrong I like doing things on Sunday, however, I want them to be my choice and not forced upon me. I guess that is what it felt like. It was shoved down my throat and I wanted to gag. I took the lame route on the costume. I mean come on, how hard is it to go as a Sheriff. Get yourself a badge, a pair of boots, a toy holster and gun and a cowboy hat. If you know me, you know I wear the same damn jeans and boots all the time anyways.

I do have to admit that I did have fun, however, not what I had envisioned earlier in the year. Had a nice dinner and watched The Mummy. What a silly stupid flick that was actually fun to watch. Okay, it doesn't hurt that a couple of the guys in it were cute to. Nice eye candy. I stuffed my self like a pig, had a couple of glasses of wine (helped the movie be even funnier) and got to see lots of kids dressed up and having fun.

There were two things that stuck out in my mind regarding Halloween this year. The first thing was that there did not seem to be as many kids as last year. Seems to be a cycle thing, one year lots and then the next none. The second thing that I notice was that the kids were very well mannered. Not only did the say the canned and standard "Trick or Treat" but almost all of them said "Thank you" and "Happy Halloween". I just found that the kids over all were not only well mannered but seemed very sincere. A nice thing. A very nice thing to see.

Since there wasn't as many kids as we expected, I at least the the treat of getting leftovers from dinner but the leftover candy as well. I'll start the diet thing again soon... :)

Till next time.
