The Deep Stuff - Tight spots and good lessons.
One of the things that irritate me the most is when some dumb ass parks so close to you that you can't even get in your car.
What's even worse than that is to be in your car WHEN they do it! So now not only I can't even get out but the stupid kid in the passenger seat of the "alleged dumb ass" can't get out either! Not that that it stops him from trying though.
Now I have a door ding and I can't even get out of my car to yell at the guy who parked next to me or smack the kid upside the head for poor spatial relations judgment. Oh yes and my keys were already in my purse (which means they are now some where at the bottom) and I have power windows and can't open my windows to cuss him out.
So I crawled over my console (after an almost brief intimate encounter with my emergency brake) and out the passenger door. The first thing I do being a woman with some capacity for forgiveness and sound judgment, I checked to make sure it wasn't my fault before going completely ballistic. Nope... right smack in the middle.
I do, however, love it when fate comes back to bite dumb asses right where they live. So I get in the store and manage to shake off most of the anger and go about my business getting a couple of last minute things for Halloween. So you guessed it I run in to them again down the candy section of the store... duh... I did say last minute! :) The Dad is trying to get just what he needed and ignoring his kid incessantly and repetitively begging for this certain kind of candy which was on the top shelf which he couldn't reach. My first thought was grab one of the costume staff things and whap him up side the head and then his father. Luckily for me I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Next thing I know there is an employee yelling at the kid to get down as he has climbed up on two of the shelves and is reaching upward for that candy still. This fell completely on deaf ears. The employee then turned and was asking for the parent. She was really getting pissed off. With good reason to, can we say liability?! The father finally fessed up, took his scolding, turned to the kid and flatly and enthusiastically told the kid to get down then promptly turned around and went back to his business.
Kids will be kids. Parent's sometimes are the kids too.
I walked off shaking my head and was frustrated. I made my way almost to the checkout when there was a loud booming crash. I new that payback had come. I felt bad about the joy that this had brought to me. That is until I saw the kid was okay. His father drug him out of the store yelling at him. I got to my car only to find the father still yelling at the kid and I felt bad because he was the one that ignored him in the first place. So I slunk over my passenger seat and pulled away, feeling guilty for my earlier anger and calling my Mom on my cel to tell her I love her.
Also had a great time at dinner on Friday! Had a blast seeing "B" and a couple of her friends for a gal's night out.
