The Deep Stuff - Cake just doesn't follow drinks well...
After being so busy this week I decided to go do the social thing. I went to a birthday party last night after hiding out at my favorite sports haunt watching the Yankees sweep the World Series... Again. It was a great time and I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time so catching up was fun to. I was not sure if I wanted to go, however, I am glad I did.
I have realized though that I just can't party like I used to. It is one thing to go have drinks, however, I really need my sleep. This whole getting *old* thing really bites. Let's just say that I am glad that most of the day's tasks are mindless. Thank god for high carb lunches and Reeses Peanutbutter crack sticks and great people who send me entertaining emails.
Talked to "J" today. He seems to be in good spirits and back to his old self. Always entertaining to talk to him and hear what he has going on with work and life in general. I also spoke with "T" last night. The *working woman* that she is has some really tired little piggies. It was good talking to her too.
Let's see what else... More new things at work to learn, more weird dreams, decorating for Halloween at the office and stressing to figure out what I want to dress up as. Other than that just a little recovery and coasting through the day.
At least tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!
