The Vision
In January, I bought a Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop with Luxsonar decoder for DVD playback.  The movie image quality is fantastic.  I was inspired, I knew I had to get a Westy and create the ultimate mobile computing and movie playback environment.  I am about halfway complete with the project, and just starting the page.  I appreciate feedback on either.

The Car
I found this very clean (~45k miles) '91 Volkswagen Syncro GL Westfalia at Carter VW in Seattle in March of '99.  The camping features were essentially unused by the PO and all mechanical parts were strong.  I couldn't have had a much better base to start from.

The guys at Innovative Audio in Bellevue, WA have done all the electrical work to date.  I just wrote the specs and signed the checks.  They do beautiful work as you can see from the pictures.  Mike, the installer, is a VW guy and took a lot of care to keep everything as stock as possible.   I'm really happy with the work done so far.  I'd recommend them highly if you've got the cash.
