Saturday Epiphany
1/23/2000
I really do understand lately what ADD kids go through. I know I need to cut the
caffeine level down but the thoughts at night seem to either keep me up or wake me up and so the whole tired/get wired syndrome begins and continually recycles.
See I really was going somewhere with this but by the time I could write it I had gone outside to smoke a cigarette then when I was out there I realized I was thirsty. I set the smoke down and went back in to get something to drink I realized I had to go to the bathroom so I went and
sat back down to finish this thought I had started but then the phone rang. So I talked to my friend that called. I forgot to get something to drink, forgot about the cigarette I had started,
definitely forgot the phone call and have no clue what the hell I was so poignantly
going to be say as the conclusion of this entry. Hopefully I won't get distracted to badly when I go to post this.
So how high tech and geeky is the area that I live in? About as bad as you can imagine. I am out running errands with my mother on Saturday, we are out buying a bunch of crap at a dollar store (like I really need more crap) and in the thirty minute
time span we were there I was subjected to checking my own cel phone about half a dozen times while my mother had to ask
every time a pager or cel went off if it was her pager or my phone at least a dozen times. There was so much beeping and ringing going on in this stupid dollar store you would have swore you were in a high tech communications store. The only thing "I thought" was missing from the whole experience was someone whipping out a lap top cataloging their purchases in a spread sheet. Surprise!! Some guy at the counter did pull out a PDA and enter in his purchase... UGGGHHHH! I live in Geeksville, USA. That was just a capper for the whole experience, and an eye opener!
Till Next Time....
