Moms & Technical Support

The relationship between mother and daughter is a hard one to explain. Especially for me. My mother and I have a relationship that most only dream of. It is nice to have someone that you can tell anything you want and they still love you no matter what. The ability to also know instinctually when to call because you can just feel when things aren't right on their side. My mom is really sick. She has that killer flu and is on her way to my Uncle's retirement party. I am so happy that she gets to go. I know how much being with her family means to her. This is only because I know what family means to me.

Nothing like doing technical support over the phone while not in front of a computer and trying to help a non-technically savvy individual. I feel like I am losing my technical edge when it comes to supporting Win 98. I also feel like I am loosing my edge on the tech front in general. My boss is very cool and the thought f not having him as a boss really disappoints me. Not only does he make sure that we have the tools to do our jobs he as the insight to make sure we have the equipment to keep us up and running and ahead of the rest of the kids in the class. Most bosses don't care that way. He also did something very cool on a personal level. He wasn't very happy to find out that I was dating someone from the department. He did, however, take the time to get to know his mind set and share information with him. I wish my boss could know how much I respect and admire him. I also wish I knew what he thought of me. His opinion means a lot to me. Not that he cares but I do have a great sense of respect and jealousy of his incredible skills.
